OSHKO / 11.11.2019 / Benchmark FPS GeForce RTX Video Card
Today we decided to compare the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 by ASUS Strix card against it’s upgraded version, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super by ASUS Strix , to try and see if we noticed a significant difference in FPS for both popular online games and recent AAA. We went ahead and tested them on :
CS:GO
Battlefield 5
Call of Duty Modern Warfare
Overwatch
Fortnite
Apex Legends
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Build : Intel i5-9600k, Corsair Vengeance 16GB 2933MHZ
Playing for about 30 minutes of each game, the first conclusion was pretty obvious: both cards are quite powerful. Every game tested ran pretty smoothly. However, when it came to heavier and more recent games, the RTX 2070 Super made a clear difference, with an average of 13 % improvement adding between 10 and 20 FPS, making sure that even in those rare but inevitable moments of FPS drop, I could not tell the difference.
When it comes to lightweight games or old classics like CS:GO, you won’t feel much of a difference between both iterations of the card, but the RTX 2070 Super will leave you much more satisfied when playing the latest Tomb Raider or that new Red Dead Redemption you’ve been waiting for, even at maximum graphics. And if you are a competitive player, you will definitely appreciate the improved performance during those climbing sessions.
