OSHKO / 02.03.2020 / Benchmark FPS GeForce RTX Video Card
How much of an improvement does the Geforce RTX 2070 Super brings over its predecessor the RTX 2070? We already tried with the Intel i5 9600k (see article here) but let’s see if we get the same result with an Intel i7 9700k. Using our usual suspects :
• CS:GO
• Battlefield 5
• Call of Duty Modern Warfare
• Overwatch
• Fortnite
• Apex Legends
• Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Build : Intel i7-9700k, Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3000MHZ, ASUS Prime Z390-P, 27” gaming monitor at 144Hz and 1080p
Apex Legends, Fornite and Shadow of the Tom Raiderboth saw a considerable FPS increase; above 15%. On the other hand, games like Battlefield V or even Call of Duty – Modern Warfare, didn’t show much of a difference until we turned on the RTX (see article here). For the rest, the improvement is pretty consistent with our previous results.
So far, the Super series holds it’s claims, they are better. And once we upgraded to the i7 9700k (see article here), we truly unlocked the potential of the NVIDIA Geforce 2070 RTX Super.
